Lisa Anne (Meinen) Hoyer was born September 12th 1956 to Richard and Wilma Meinen in Mt. Home, Idaho. She passed away on April 21st 2024 in her home surrounded by her family. She was raised in Cedar Rapids and graduated from Prairie High School. She dedicated her life to Jehovah in 1972.
Lisa married her high school sweetheart Victor Hoyer on January 19, 1974 and they had 50 years together. They moved to Oregon in 1975 and lived in the Pacific Northwest for 45 years, where they raised their 3 children. They moved back to Iowa in 2020 and became a part of the Oelwein Congregation Family.
Lisa worked as a CNA and retail associate and manager of different departments. She loved to garden and plant flowers. She enjoyed entertaining and having friends over for get togethers. Her laugh was infectious and everyone who knew her said she brightened the room.
Her greatest joy was serving Jehovah and dedicating her time as a regular pioneer. She loved teaching others about Jehovah and all his wonderful promises.
Lisa is preceded in death by both her parents and her younger brother. Lisa is survived by her husband Victor Hoyer, her 2 sisters Rhoma Porras and Sandra Meinen. Her son Jeremy Hoyer and 2 daughters Bobbie Jo Davis and Jodee McKinzie, 5 grandsons, 2 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter.
